The Gas Hub sought to elevate awareness of natural gas availability, offering free connections within Powerco’s network region by encouraging people to 'check their address' on The Gas Hub's website. The goals of this winter campaign included expanding brand recognition, increasing Facebook engagement, strategically aligning their partnership with Resene, and promoting Future of Gas messaging. Werk were engaged to develop the campaign creative; including communications strategy, illustration and design, and the execution of all campaign assets from Google Display ads to web banners.
Our creative team imbued an unexpected and innovative spirit into the The Gas Hub's campaign brief. Departing from the client's conventional approach, we proposed an illustrative medium, complemented by the endearing message, 'Snug as a Bug', nudging them beyond their brand boundaries. The campaign's visual narrative unfolded with an artful blend of warm hues, predominantly oranges and pinks, creating an ambience of cozy sophistication that harmonised seamlessly with the winter theme. Our talented design team meticulously crafted illustrations that not only reflected the essence of the campaign but also evolved through a collaborative process with client feedback – as together we ventured into uncharted creative territories that now define the brand's dynamic and youthful resonance.
